These vintage fly boxes came out of the old H Rehfisch shop (223 Mair St Ballarat) that was first established in 1860. They are mainly hand made from cedar that has been finished in shelac. Most of these boxes and trays were made in the 1920s to the 1940s and then put into storage some time in the 1970s. All the flies contained within them are genuine vintage flies from the 1950s and 1960s.
These are one off, unique items with some wear, character and patina from use, but are in excellent vintage condition
